Ben Dixon began his Tattoo Apprenticeship in November 1991 under Ron Kevie. In 1993 Ben went to his first Tattoo Convention in San Diego California, The Tattoo Tour. He met and was tattooed by Hanky Panky and Paul Booth. Paul and Ben became friends and Ben left for New Jersey and Paul helped him get a job at Physical Graffiti Tattoo with Larry Davis. Ben also met during that time Steve Ferguson at the Ink Spot who also helped him with the Business side of the tattoo industry. Ben came back home and opened the first Lone Wolf Tattoo in July 1993 in Mt. Juliet Tennessee.
In 1996 Ben and a few other local Tattoo Artists including Angel Moon helped draft the Health Regulation laws for the state of Tennessee. In 1999, Ben and Lone Wolf Tattoo Hosted the Old School Tattoo Expo with Legendary Tattoo artist Lyle Tuttle and Bill Dedman. The following year 2000 marked the first Full Moon Tattoo Convention held at the Nashville Maxwell House Hotel. The 2024 Full Moon Tattoo and Horror Festival will be held on March 29th-31st 2024 at the Sonesta Nashville Airport Hotel.
Lone Wolf Tattoo won the first ever category for the Best of Nashville Scene in 1999 and was voted Best Tattoo Studio for the next eleven years in a row. Lone Wolf Tattoo has also won multiple years for the Best of Nashville Toast of Music City.
Lone Wolf Body Art is home to great artists : Rik "Bear" Sweeney, Jason Ponce, Daniel Bostic, Stacey Dixon and Ben Dixon. Apprentice Logan Dixon. Piercers Shelby Bleadingheiser and Ashton Hedberg.

Ben has apprenticed many great artists over the years including, Billy Brown, Dawn Stiles, David Digby, Jason St. Clair, Devin Pena, Ben Reese, Timba Booth, Daniel Bostic, Teddy Butler, James"Scooby"Pope, Levi Phillips, Stacey Dixon, Forrest Pollock and Danny Pineiro.
No other studio in the state of Tennessee has done more for tattooing than Ben Dixon and Lone Wolf Tattoo. Ben continues to Tattoo and can be found at the Hermitage Lone Wolf Tattoo location. He loves all forms of tattoo styles and does not hold himself to one. If he had to choose it would be Black and Gray Realism.
The newest Lone Wolf location opened in Hermitage in January 2015. Located in the old Courtyard Cinema along with the new Slaughterhouse Haunted Attraction presented by Full Moon Inc.
